Sec. 3-110f. State poet laureate.

  • The Commissioner of Economic and Community Development, with recommendations of the Culture and Tourism Advisory Committee, shall designate, every three years, a state poet laureate. The commissioner may fill any vacancy by appointment for the unexpired portion of the term vacated.

P.A. 04-2, effective May 12, 2004, both replaced Connecticut Commission on Arts, Tourism, Culture, History and Film with Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism; P.A. 11-48 replaced “Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism” with “Department of Economic and Community Development, with recommendations of the Culture and Tourism Advisory Committee”, effective July 1, 2011; P.A. 18-162 replaced “Department” with “Commissioner”, replaced “may appoint” with “shall designate, every three years” and added provision re filling of vacancy.
